How to Perform Email Recovery on Windows 7 ?

Microsoft Outlook has improved on its features with every new version. Microsoft Outlook 2003 provides many features like color-coded and labeled calendar, which helps you to compare schedules quickly or to schedule meeting. Different versions of Microsoft Outlook that are supported on Windows 7 OS are Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, and Outlook 2010. Older versions of Outlook are not supported on Windows 7. Outlook 2002 can run on Windows 7 but it has password remembering issues. Microsoft Outlook 2000 cannot be installed in Internet Mail Only mode (IMO mode) and it should always be installed in Corporate/ Workgroup Mode (CW mode) to avoid any error. Due to these reasons Windows 7 does not support Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002.

In all Windows computers, PST files will get stored on to the logical hard drive. In Windows 7 default location for PST files is - C:\Users\Specific User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook. In Windows 7 default location for Outlook 2007 PST files is- C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook and for Outlook 2010 PST files default location is C:\Users\username\Documents\ Outlook Files.

There are many reasons due to which email loss occurs in Outlook. Some of them are listed here:

• Deletion: While deleting unwanted emails there may be chances of deleting some important email from Outlook. Those deleted emails will move to "Deleted Items" folder and therefore you can retrieve those deleted emails onto the original location. If you empty “Deleted Items” folder accidentally then you will lose your important emails. You will need to retrieve deleted email Outlook to get them back.
• Loss of emails after upgrading: While upgrading from older version of Outlook to newer version, some of the PST files may get corrupted due to errors. Due to corruption of PST files, you may lose Outlook information.
• Loss of emails due to Antivirus scanning: If you are using Antivirus software in your system, then there are chances of deletion of emails or other Outlook data while scanning process. While receiving or sending emails, antivirus scanning process may lead to corruption of those emails and it leads to deletion of emails from Outlook. If your emails are missing due to antivirus scanning, you can use this tool to recover deleted or lost emails from Outlook 2010.

Step 3: Based on the selected option in previous step, select appropriate PST file and click on "Next" button. After that select "Normal Scan" option and then select destination location where you want to store restored Outlook data. Then click on "Repair" button to start the scanning process as shown in Figure 2.

Step 4: After scanning process, you can view restored Outlook emails as shown in Figure 3. If you are satisfied with the restored result then you can purchase full version of the software.
